Set in lush lawned gardens, Villa del Sale is a comfortable family villa with sunset views and within easy reach of historic towns, beaches, shops and restaurants.
This beautiful and unusual property dating from the 1970’s is set in beautifully kept lawned gardens of approximately ¾ of an acre, in a quiet, low key setting near Trapani, a historic town at the most westerly point of Sicily. From the gardens and beautiful large pool there are extraordinary panoramic views over the land bordering the villa out to sea over the adjacent Egadi islands. The villa boasts numerous spaces for guests to relax around the pool and a shaded terrace adjacent to the gardens with comfortable soft seating and a shaded dining area. For the extensive and recently refurbished interiors, the owners have chosen to showcase the tradition of Sicilian ceramics and there are also some Sicilian tiles and unusual vintage pieces combined with modern lighting, beds and furniture. The villa has two very spacious double bedrooms, each with ample room for a cot. Three further double bedrooms are located one after the other in a different corner of the villa. All bedrooms have private or en suite facilities.
Enjoying lovely sunset views, the villa is set on the edge of Trapani's saltpans, where salt has been extracted for many centuries. This is also a resting place for many birds, particularly flamingos, on migration from and to Africa. Villa del Sale is only a short drive away from the beach of Marausa Lido and the historic towns of Trapani and Marsala. Among other places well worth a visit are also the medieval village of Erice, the temples of Segesta and Selinunte and the Egadi islands. Our view is that this villa is a great choice for those seeking a comfortable, good value villa, especially for smaller parties
Electricity is included up to 400 kWh per week, sufficient for normal use. The meter is read together with guests at the beginning and end of the rental. Extra electricity usage is 0.40 Euro per Kwh unit payable locally.
Prices for 10 (with use of the Main House) and 14 (with use of the Main House and the Guest Annexe are available up to 22 June and from 31 August 2024.
Prices for smaller parties will not be available in 2025.
21 June - 29 August arrivals on Saturdays only. For all other periods flexible departures on request.
Please note that the preferred suppliers for the villa must be used for any additional services. Unknown extra staff are not permitted at the villa.

Arrival from 16:00 - 2100. Arrival 21:00 - 24:00 with late arrival fee of Euro 30. Departure by 10:00.
